The Apostle Paul remarked that it was "for freedom that Christ set us free." In all our preaching and teaching we demonstrate that this freedom is essential for a courageous and growing faith needed to spread the gospel in our day and time.

For example back in 2015, seems like yesterday, we examined manadatory celibacy and the biblical basis for an egalitarian marriage.

We also dove into the tumultous waters water of adult bible based baptism rather than infant baptism. In doing that we heard about the inspired story and unconquerable and independent faith of the Sixteenth century Anabaptists, adult baptizers who separated from European Christendom nations (both Catholic and Protestant)  that wrongly joined official church and official state, which limited the gospel to the mere political and cultural horizens of humanity. For this the Anabaptists were shunned by all of Christendom but were happily freed to live out their bible based faith, because as the Apostles Paul said "for freedom Christ has set us free."

We  also feasted on a five-part series on Habakkuk's wisdom of living by faith and allowing God to guide us through the rocky, wordly, often steep and narrow path of of our faith life.

On a lighter note, in a four part series we also studied the Book of Ruth, the book of Godly love, about the young Moabite widow who follows her mother-in-law back to Bethlehem, and finds another bridegroom at harvest time.

Presently, The Preaching Hour airs at 1pm and 8:30pm Tuesdays on Cox PATV Channel 15 in Southington, Cheshire, and Meriden CT and other public access stations in VT and in Wallingford CT.
