The Four Fruits Of The Lord's Supper

Now that we have passed through the gateway of Spiritual preparation for the Lord's Supper (Meditations 9-10), it's on to Zion unto the fruits of the Lord's Supper.

Ora que hemos pasado por la puerta de nuestra preparacion Espiritual (Meditaciones 9-10), adelante a Sion, y los frutos de esta cena. 

Jesus' word tells us that he wouldn't require us to be Spiritually prepared (ie. washed, Baptized in Spirit, living a repentant faith, hungry, and aware of the nature of what we're doing) for the Supper, and command us to celebrate it, if he didn't have rich fruits in store for doing so.

La palabra de Jesus nos dice que el no insistia en esta preparacion para la cena (bautizado en su nombre y Espiritu, viviendo por una fe arrepentida, y hambriente, y entendiendo que hacemos a la mesa o altar), y mandado a celebrarla, se El no tenia ricos frutos para nosotros como respuesta a nuestra obediencia. 

Focus Scriptures: John 6,53-57:

53 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My Blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

55 For my flesh is food indeed indeed, and my Blood is drink indeed.

56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My Blood abides in me, and I in him.

57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of me." 

La Primera Citacion Biblica: Juan 6,53-57:

53 Ciertemente les aseguro- afirmo Jesus- que si no comen la carne del Hijo del hombre ni beben su sangre, no tienen realmente vida. [profecia sobre la cena]

54 El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre tiene vida eterna, y yo lo resucitare en el dia final.

55 Porque mi carne es verdadera comida y mi sangre es verdadera bebida.

His word and Spirit speak of four fruits from the table:

Su palabra y Espiritu citan quattro frutos de la mesa.

1. We will see God's face upon our resurrection-salvation.

Veremos el rostro de Dios a nuestra resurrecion-salvacion.

This is the fulfillment of Exodus 25,30 ("and on my table, in my presence, you will always put the loaves of permanent offering") regarding the twelve loaves, the bread of God's face, or God's testimony, his presence on behalf of his people. Under the Sinai covenant this bread was only ministered and eaten by priests.

Este es cumplimiento de Exodo 25,30 ("y pondras sobre la mesa el pan de la Presencia perpetualmente delante de mi") en relacion con los doce panes, o mas exactemente el pan de la cara de Dios, o del testimonio de Dios. Es decir que su Presencia esta siempre quemando en vigilia por su pueblo. Abajo el testamento de Sinai este pan solamente fue ministrado y consumido por los sacerdotes.

The fruits of our updated table will be consumed by all people living under the new covenant, whereby we are all made priests, consecrated by our faith and our baptism in the Holy Spirit (1Peter2,5, John 3,5). This "food indeed" (John 6,55) off the new faith nation's table is ministered and eaten by all, and is one of the faith acts that guarantees seeing God's face upon our own resurrection (v. 54 above).

Pero los frutos del testamento nuevo sobre nuestra mesa, o altar, es abierto a todos viviendo el nuevo testamento por fe, atraves todos nosotros somos hechos sacerdotes, consegrados por nuestra fe y el bautizo del Espiritu (1Peter2,5;Juan3,5). Esta "verdadera comida" (Juan 6,55) de la nueva mesa or altar para la nueva nacion de fe es ministrado y consumido por todos, y es uno de los hechos de fe que es ambos senal y guarantia (con fe actual) a ver el rostro de Dios a la resureccion personal (v.54 arriba).  

Our offering and blessing of the bread and the cup is a spiritual sacrifice (1Peter2,5), attune with Hebrews 12,24, whereby Jesus' one time shed blood is exchanged for Jesus' for-all-time mediation of the Sprinkled Spirit en repuesta a nuestra fe (see also Isaiah 52,15). The bread and the contents of the cup by our blessing in faith, brings this Sprinkled Spirit into the contents of the bread and cup, an example and foretaste, and declaration that we are saved now, and will see his face upon our resurrection too.

Nuestra ofrenda y bendicion del pan y la copa es un sacrificio Espiritual (1Pedro2,5), parecido con Hebreos 12,24, atraves la sangre de Christo una vez derramada es intercambiado por la mediacion de su Espiritu rociada en respuesta a nuestra fe (vean uds tambien Isaias 52,15). Este pan, y el contenido de la copa, por nuestra bendicion, y la respuesta de Dios, traiga el Espiritu rociada al contenido del pan y la copa, un ejemplo y un antecipo, y declaracion que somos salvados ora, y veremos su rostro en la resurrecion tambien.

After obediently and faithfully feasting at the the table of the Lord, we can confidently and loudly state with the Psalmist at Psalm 17,15: "As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in your presence."

Despues dandose de banquete a la mesa (o altar) con una fe obediente, nosotros podemos confiademente declara con el Salmista a 17,15: "En quanto a mi, vere tu rostro en justicia."  

2. We are Spiritually nourished to finish the long race-contest of salvation.

Somos Promovidos Ad Acabar La Carrera De Salvacion.

How's that? Because we have the very Spiritual life of God living in us (John 6,53) , and we have eaten the Spiritual "food" and "drink" of God, reminding us that God abides in us and thus we can persevere in Him, and overcome in Him, and carry our particular crosses with the power and conviction that is outside the realm of our fleshly strength.

Como? Porque tenemos la mera vida del Espiritu de Dios viviendo dento de nosotros (Juan6,53), y hemos comido comida Espiritual y bebida Espiritual, recordandonos que Dios abita dentro de nosotros, y entonces podemos perseverar en El, y sobrevivir en El, y lleva nuestras cruces con el poder y compromiso que esta afuera de nuestra fortaleza carnal.

No more physical sacrifices are needed in that our saving faith and Christ's last physical sacrifice has rendered us pardoned, acceptable, and set apart in a new Spiritual state, sanctified, not morally perfect, but capable of persevering unto the finish line:

"For by one offering he hath perfected to the end those sanctified." Hebrews 10,14 (Young's Literal Translation).

No mas sacrificio fisicales en quanto que nuestra fe salvifica y el ultimo sacrificio de Jesus nos ha rendido perdonados, aceptables, y separados-santos, santificados, no perfecto moralmente, pero capaz de perseverar hasta el fin:

"Porque por una ofrenda El ha hecho perfectos para siempre a los que son santificados." (Hebreos10,14)

So when we come to the table with our Spiritual sacrifice of faith we're remembering the completed work of Calvary, but also hungry for all the Spiritual blessings that Calvary unleashed unto us until the end, such as Spiritually abiding in Him, living in Him, enjoying a greater rootedness in Him, and by partaking in this actual fellowship with him (1Corinthians 10,16).

Entonces quando venimos a la mesa con nuestro sacrificio Espiritual de fe estamos recordando el trabajo acabado de Calvario, pero tambien hambrientos por todas las bendiciones que la cruz se ha desatado a nosotros hasta el juicio final, por ejemplo quedando Espiritualmente con el, viviendo en El, y compartiendo actualmente en communion con el (1Corintios10,16).

This is an actual fellowship (Spirit to spirit) that might include hearing his Spirit-voice speaking again to us at the table (John 10,14), and all the blessings that flow after Calvary unto our progressive sanctification (1Thessalonians 5,23), and likewise from partaking of the unlimited life Spirit of God (John 6,53).

Este es un companarismo actual (entre Su Espiritu y nuestra espiritu) que puede incluir oyendo su voz a la mesa (Juan10,14), y todas las bendiciones que fluyen de la cruz hasta y inclyendo nuestra santificacion progressiva (1Tessalonicenses5,23), y tambien compartiendo del Espiritu de vida illimitada de Dios (John6,53).

3. We become more faithful witnesses by this Spiritual sacrifice.

Llegamos a ser testigos mas fieles por este sacrificio Espiritual.

Baptism in the Spirit is the primary means of being and remaining a true witness of Christ.  "But you shall be witnesses to Me in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."(Acts 1,8)

El bautizo en el Espiritu es el medio primario para quedar un testigo verdadero de Jesus. "Pero recibereis poder cuando haya venido sobre vosotros el Espiritu Santo, y me sereis testigos en Jerusalen como en toda Judea y Samaria, y hasta los confines del mundo." (Hechos1,8)

Our Christian witness is not only to be truthful, but also faithful to Jesus- who he was, who he is, publicly attesting to him, the most faithful and true witness (cf Revelation 3,14, Greek martus, martyr).

Nuestro testimonio no es solamente necessariamente verdadero, pero tambien fiel a Jesus- quien era, quien es, publicamente dando testimonio al testigo verdadero y fiel (cf Apocalypsis 3,14, Griego martus, o martire).

Likewise our faith witness is one that costs more than mental belief, and requires public testimony about Jesus, and perhaps even our very lives.   

Asi nuestra fe es una que se cuesta mas que creencias mentales, y requiere testimonio publico sobre Jesus como nuestro Senor, y tal vez nuestra propria vida tambien.

Jesus commanded two public ordinances- baptism and the Lord's Supper. Both of these have their starting point in the death of Jesus, for our sins. But their ultimate point is  that we might live a new and better life of faith, unto eternal life, not governed by law and physical sacrifices, but by God's Spirit, written by God into our hearts and minds (Hebrews 8,10-11). 

Jesus mandaba dos ordinanzas publicas- bautizo en Agua y la cena del Senor. Ambos estos tienen su punto de partido en la muerte de Jesus por nuestro pecados. Pero su punto ultimo es que tenemos una vida mejor, una vida vivido por fe, hasta la vida eterna, no gobernado ya por ley externales y sacrificios physicales, pero por el Espiritu de Dios, escrita en nuestros corazones y mentes (Hebreos 8,10-11).

There's no better way to live by this Spirit, that came at such a high price, and recognize our own sometimes costly witness than celebrating the Lord's Supper on a frequent basis.

No hay manera mejor como vivir por este Espiritu, que fue mandado ad un precio tan caro, y comprender la natura de nuestro testimonio, que por celebrar la cena del Senor frequentemente.

It sharpens our witness and expands it from the confines of easy-pleasy Christianity without crosses, to the longsuffering of agape love and service, and perhaps even martyrdom.

Refina nuestro testimonio y se lo enlarga desde los confines de la fe facil, carnal, y barrata, sin cruces, y abre nuestras vidas al muy sufrido del amor agape.

4. We realize our priesthood and cooperate in an actual Spiritual manifestation of God's salvific work here and now.

Comprendamos que nuestro sacerdocio y particpamos en la actual manifestacion Espiritual del trabajo de la salvacion, aqui y ora.   

By coming together as one body for the Supper, we realize at a glance that our primary purpose as a priestly people is to offer spirtitual sacrifices such as announcing his praises and the Lord's supper.

Por venir juntos como cuerpo unico de Christo  para la Cena, comprendamos por una vista que nuestro proposito primero como un pueblo de sacerdotes es ofrecir sacrificios Espirituales como anunciar sus alabanzas y milagros y la cena.

1Peter2,1-9 is as close to a constitution as there is in our New Testament Scripture. It also makes the point that our role as a priestly people is to celebrate Spiritual sacrifices, such as the Lord's Supper, that announce the wonders and praises of Jesus.

1Pedro2,1-9 es la mas cerca a una constitucion que hay en el Nuevo Testamento. Esta escritura cita que nuestro papel como un pueblo sacerdotal (hombres y mujeres) es celebrar sacrificios Espirituales, como la cena del senor, que declaran sus maraviglias y alabanzas de Jesus.

As our good news consitution, 1Peter2,1-9 tells us many things about ourselves as God's new people and our faith values. There is perhaps no more soaring and enthusiastic description of all Christ has done for us.

Como constitucion de las buenas noticias, 1Pedro2,1-9 nos diga muchas cosas importantes sobre nosotros mismos. No hay mas alta descripcion de todo Christo Jesus ha hecho para nosotros.

It primarily tells us two things:

Nos diga dos cosa sobre todo:

A. who we are (a kingdom of holy priests, vv 5,9; living stones in a faith temple, v 5, a holy nation, his own particular or "special" people, v 9);

B. what we are to do (offer up spiritual sacrifices v 5 and proclaim the praises or wonder of Him who called you out of spiritual darkness... v 9). 

A. Quien somos (un reino de sacerdotes santos, vv5,9; piedras viventes de un templo nuevo de fe, v. 5, una santa nacion, su pueblo particular, v. 9);

B. que hacemos (ofrecir sacrificios Espirituales v. 5 y proclamar las alabanzas de El quien nos ha llamados de la oscuridad... v.9)

This is our gospel faith according to the command of Jesus.

Este el nuestro evangelio segun el mandamiento de Jesus.

These two revelations of who we are (priests) and what we do (offer up spiritual sacrifices such as annoucing his gospel) correspond perfectly to the good news of the the Lord's Supper.

Estas dos revelaciones de quien somos (sacerdotes) y que hacemos (ofrecir sacrificios Espirituales como anunciar su evangelio) corresponden perfectamente al las buenas noticias de la Cena del Senor.

1Peter2 is about newborn babes (v.2), hungry for the milk of the word, who have come to Jesus risen from the dead, a living stone (v.4), the cornerstone of his new Spiritual house-temple-unified and one people (v.5).

1Pedro2 trata de recien nacidos, bebes en la fe (v.2), hambrientos por la leche de la palabra, quien han venido a Jesus resucitado de la muerte, a una piedra viviente, a la piedra angular de su nueva casa-Templo-pueblo unido por el unico Santo Espiritu (v.5)

But wait there's more. These same new born babes- by living by faith- become a royal priesthood (vv.5,9) and move on to the more "solid food" of his Risen body and risen, or sprinkled, blood (Isaiah 52,15), real food and real drink, the cup of salvation.

Pero esperate- hay mas. Estos recien nacidos, bebes tomando leche, llegan a ser, por vivir por la fe, un sacerdocio royal (vv5,9) y se muevan a la comida rica, su cuerpo y sangre resucitado, la sangre riociada (Isaias 52,15), comida real y bebida real, la copa de salvacion.

As a royal priesthood we are in the risen Spiritual temple of Jesus, where we belong, partaking of the sustenance that we, as Spiritual people now, seek and truly need.

Como un sacerdocio royal somos el templo-pueblo redimido-resucitado de Jesus, y vivimos donde tenemos casa, compartiendo de la sustancia que nosotros necesitamos y gocemos como su pueblo. 

This supper is a Spiritual sacrifice that announces all this: that Jesus has made us all holy and fit to be fed real food and real drink. It's the announcement that he still nourishes, not only by his word by our faithful obedience to his command to come to the table and be fed Spiritually.

And what's more we, by our faith, are cooperating and particpating in the miracle of his risen bread and risen blood.

Esta cena es un sacrificio espiritual que anuncia todo eso: que Jesus ha hecho todos nosotros santos y habituados a la comida verdadera y bebida verdadera. La cena es el anuncio que Jesus ya nos da alimenetacion no solamente por su palabra, pero tambien por nuestra obediencia a su mandamiento- viniendo a la mesa ad alimentarse Espiritualmente.

It invites us to announce the wonder of turning ordinary bread and wine into his risen body and blood (Isaiah52,15). It's also the announcement that his Spirit is still in the blessing business, and that the light and fire of the Holy Ghost still burns, on this table of the lord just as it did in the burning bush (Exodus 3,2-3), and just as it did when God's first Aaronic priesthood celebrated their physical sacrifices with the faith required by God (Leviticus9,22-24).

Nos invita anunciar las maraviglias de su cambiar pan ordinario y vino ordinario a su cuerpo resucitado y su sangre resucitada (Isaias52,15). Es tambien el anuncio que su Espiritu esta ya bendiciendo, y que la luz y fuego del Espiritu ya quema, sobre la mesa del Senor, asi como quema sobre el arbolito quemando pero no consumado (Exodo3,2-3), asi como lo quemaba cuando los sacerdotes de Aaron tuvieron fe y han ofrecido sus sacrificios requisitos por Dios(Levitco9,22-24). 

And what's more amazing still, by our faith, we are cooperating and partcipating in an actual manifestation of the saving work of God.

Y sobretodo, por nustra fe, nosotros somos participando en una manifestacion actual del trabajo salvifico de Jesus, aqui mismo.

By our faith and accepting our real and shared priesthood at the table, we knowingly participate in the the new priesthood of Jesus, who sprinkles down the holy Ghost on the bread and wine, on our spiritual sacrifice if it is acceptable to Him, making them his risen body and blood.

Por nuestra fe y acceptando nuestro sacerdocio real a la mesa, nosotros participamos conscientemente en el sacerdocio nuevo de Jesus, quien rocia sobre el pan y vino, nuestro sacrificio Espiritual, se es acceptable a El, haciendolos su cuerpo resucitado y sangre resucitada.      

All Sacrifices Reveal God's Promise of Real and Fruitful Blessings If Done With Faith

Todos Sacrificios Revelan Bendiciones Reales Y Fructosos Si Hechos Con Fe

When we as priests present this spiritual sacrifice on his table, bringing our offering close to our Spiritual God, He honors our faithful blessing of the bread and cup (cf 1Corinthians 10,16) by a wondrous miracle, making them contain his risen Spirit, his Spiritual body and Spiritual blood, real food and drink (John 6,53-57).

Cuando nosotros como sacerdotes presentan este sacrirficio sobre la mes o altar, trayendo nuestro offerto cerca al Dios nuestro Espiritual, el nos honra, por su escogio, nuestra bendicion del pan y la copa (1Corintios10,16) por un milagro, haciendolos llevar su Espiritu resucitado, su cuerpo Espiritual, su comida real y bebida real (Juan6,53-57)

This miracle bread and cup calls to mind again and again the many times he has saved us in the desert from hunger and thirst, and showed us his word coming true, showed us mercy amidst our paltry faith, and the many other miracles that we we have seen so far, but don't have the faith yet to proclaim.  

Este pan milagroso y copa milagrosa traigan en mente los tiempos que el nos ha salvado ya en el desierto de hambre y sed, and ha mostrado su palabra viniendo en verdad, ha mostrado misericordia fra nuestra fe magra, y los muchos milagros que hemos visto ya, pero no tenemos la fe para proclamar.

But by coming with fresh faith again and again, we are strengthened and nourished again and again and this gives us the boldness to announce the miracles of Jesus.

Pero por venir con fe fresca una y otra vez, somos fortalecidos y alimentados, una y otra vez, y nos da el valor para anunciar los milagros de Jesus ora y siempre.

Leviticus 9,22-23 is a fruitful illustration of the potential power of our updated Spiritual sacrifice of the Lord's Supper.

Levitico 9,22-23 es una ilustracion bondadosa del poder y potencial de nuestro sacrificio espiritual de la cena.

It describes Aaron blessing the people of Israel before the sin offering (purification offering), and the holocaust (whole offering), and the peace offering (shared-offerings).

Nos trata de Aaron bendiciendo todo el pueblo de Israel antes de las ofrendas por los pecados (ofrenda de purificacion), y el holocausto (ofrenda entero), y la ofrenda de paz (ofrenda compartido).

Then Aaron and Moses entered the tent of meeting, and communed with God. As they had drawn near to him and presented the sacrifices on behalf of his people, God  (who is Spirit, John4,24) drew near to all the people and accepted the sacrifices on their behalf.

Entonces Aaron y Moises han entrado la tienda, y tuvieron communion con Dios Espiritual. Asi como han venido cerca a El y han presentado los sacrificios para el pueblo, Dios (quien es Espiritu John 4,24) venia cerca a su pueblo y acepto los sacrificios por parte de ellos.

We know God drew near to them and the people because when Aaaron and Moses came out of the tent and blessed the people again, immediatly the glory of God miraclously flared out of the tent of meeting. This miracle occurred in the plain sight of all the people. And the Lord's fire, the Holy Ghost, then entirely consumed the remaining portion of the holocaust and all its fat parts right before the eyes of the people.

Sabemos que Dios venia cerca a todo su pueblo por que quando Aaron y Moises han salido de la tienda y han bendecido el pueblo otra vez, la gloria de Dios milagrosamente salia de la tienda. Este milagro ocurrio en la llena vista de todo el pueblo. Y el fuego de Dios ha caido sobre el pueblo, y consumo la ultima porcion del holocausto y hasta las partes de grasa, quedando todo en frente de los ojos de todo el pueblo. 

Seeing this miracle, the people (like many who experience baptism in the Spirit in the Christian realm) were rendered prostrate, praising God with  shouts of joy, as they experienced God in this new and mighty way.

Viendo este milagro, el pueblo (como muchos quando reciben el bautizo en el Espiritu) andaban todos postrados en la tierra, alabando Dios con gritos de alegria, como han experimentado Dios en una manera poderosa y nueva.

Application of Leviticus 9,22-23 To The Lord's Supper

Instrucion De Levitico 9,22-23 A La Cena Del Senor

This has application to the Spiritual sacrifice of the Lord's Supper because it clearly shows that all sacrifices, done with the required faith, were actually meant to bless all people with an actual or real Spiritual experience of God.

Entonces esta tiene instruccion para nosotros y el sacrificio de la cena porque nos muestra que todos los sacrificios de la biblia, hechos con el fe requisito, en la mente de Dios, tuvieron el proposito a bendicir todo el pueblo con un esperiencia actual y real de Dios.

So, if God's Holy Ghost fire, could miraclously exit the tent of Meeting in response to faithfully executed physical sacrifices and consume a physical holocaust sacrifice outside of it, how much more readily, by our rightful and faithful blessing according to God's word and command, could that same Holy Ghost Fire, come into our Spritual offering of bread and wine, and  make them Christ's Spiritual Body and Blood, capable of coming into us and burning away, so to speak, our earthly dross and fleshiness.

Si el fuego de santo Espiritu puede milagrosamente sale de la tienda en respuesta a los sacrificios physicales hecho en fe, y cumsumir un sacrificio de una vez afuera de la tienda, quanto mas facilmente, por nuestra fe obediente en bendecir el pan y la copa segun el mandamiento de Jesus,  puede el Espiritu, el fuego viene a nuestra ofrenda de pan y vino, y hacerlos el cuerpo Espiritual y sangre Espiritual, el mismo espiritu capaz por venir dentro de nosotros y quemar nuestra carnalidad.  

His Risen "flesh", his holocausted-Spiritual flesh, that we eat off this table, is food indeed.

Su cuerpo, su carne, Holocaustado-Espiritual, resicitado que comimos de esta mesa, comida verdadera.

His victory cup- that we all and each seize off the table- becomes our victory cup.

Su copa de victoria- que todos agarramos por fe- llega a ser nuestra copa de victoria.

This rich and fruitful supper fare is food indeed and drink indeed, served up by our faith in Him and obedience to his command.

Esta cena rica es comida y bebida verdadera, dado por el en respuesta a nuestra fe y obediencia a su mandamiento. 

A fruitful Supper that satisfies our desire for ongoing communion with HIM.

Una cena bondadosa que nos da la satisfacion de communion dia por dia con el..

Conclusion: Four Fruits Worth Seeking: Quattro Frutos Que Nos Dan Mucho

Four real fruits from this one ongoing Spiritual sacrifice supper, which connects us to our always living Jesus.

Quattro frutos reales de este unico sacrificio Espiritual, que nos connecta a nuestro Jesus que siempre vive.
