May Arab Spring Become Love For Jesus

May the Arab Spring Become Love For Their Savior Jesus (first pub. 2.10.12, update 9.24.14)

"In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the opressors, and he shall send them a savior, and a great one, and he shall deliver them." Isaiah 19,19-20.

9.24.14 Update: Persian (?) wise men or astrologers "saw His star [announcing the birth of the universal messiah] in the east" while they were still in the east.  Matthew 2,2, (cf Dr. Jason Lisle, Nov. 7, 2006 "The Star Of Bethlehem" (answersingenesis.org/holidays/christmas/the-star-of-bethlehem/).

9.24.14 "I see Him, but not now, I behold him, but not near; A star shall come out of Jacob; A scepter shall rise out of Israel; And batter the bow of Moab; And destroy all the sons of tumult." NKJV Numbers 24,17 (cf Ibid Lisle)

The word of God says that all souls belong to him individually- the soul of the father, as that of the son (Ezekiel 18,4), the soul of the Jew, as the Muslim.

Remember the angel of the Lord running after the pregnant Hagar fleeing the jealous wrath of her still barren mistress (Genesis16,7)?

Remember the aging Patriarch Israel running to Egypt to bless Ephraim and Manassah, the sons of his son Joseph, born of highly favored native Islamic gal in Egypt: "Let my name [the NAME of Jesus] be named on them." Genesis 48,16.

Remember our God saying that he would not rest until "he establish and make Jerusalem a praise in all the earth." Isaiah 62,7.

Remember the prophet Joel saying that in the latter days God would "pour out his Spirit on all flesh." (2,28)

Remember the supernatural Christmas star heralding Jesus' birth of  Matthew2  that guided the astrologers from the east, from the Arab world, to Bethlehem? (9.24.14, per Holy Ghost and cf Dr. Lisle cited above). And fulfilling  Numbers 24,7whereby the unjust of the Arab world will be defeated by Jesus while the just and peaceful offerred salvation in Him (9.24.14).

The Arab world is undergoing a political and cultural cataclysm right before the world's eyes. Our first instinct as Christians is perhaps to wonder if this Spring will turn jihadist and trample Jerusalem?

O ye of little faith.

Our Jesus, our God, loves freedom. And he is savior and Lord of all. He is not unnerved by tens of thousands gathered in Damascus Syria or Cairo Egypt, to the north and south of his homeland.

He looks at this Arab Spring flock with compassion and love.

He looks at their banners seeking political freedom and He is saying "I am the banner, the ensign, of every nation, every people (cf Isaiah 11.12). I'm where you should turn."

I think Jesus is up to something, and it appears to be a move of the Holy Ghost that gives the Muslim world, and the nation of Israel,  another shot at salvation, amidst a world changing crisis wherein nobody but him seems to have any answers, in a world where most rightminded folks are totally sick of war (see Zechariah 12,2).

How else can we explain the relative peacefulness of these events, if Jesus' hand isn't somehow shepherding the relative clam?

How else can we explain that a spirit of lawlessness has not engulfed the entire Mideast? Consider the promise of 2Thessalonians 2,6ff that not until the lawless one (aka the antichrist), is publicly seen and known will he withdraw his Holy Spirit.

Yes there has been some violence connected to the Arab Spring protests.

But isn't amazing that after the West lashed out in Afghanistan and Iraq, and after the go for broke Nato calculation of Libya, and after all Iran's saber rattling, and all Asad's repression, and after soccer fans are allowed to run riot in Egypt, and after all Israel's fleeces regarding an attack on Iran, and after all the incoherent policies of so many nations, that the nations and tribes of the Arab Spring are still, more or less, searching peacefully for freedom and reform?

So freedom loving people everywhere, stay tuned.

God in the name of Jesus is on the case of the Arab Spring. It's not time for more wars and more repression, or October surprises, or pre-emptive strikes, it's time for all nations and rightminded leaders thereof to look up, to watch and pray, and consider what God is doing in the earth shaking events of the Arab Spring.

And then it's up to all of us, all the mere flesh in all the world, to follow our one God revealed to us in freedom, for we do not just seek to taste the sweetness of his freedom, but act on it too.
