HELP FOR MARRIAGES IN CRISIS  (8.1.11)

You may have heard what the world has said about your marriage, but now it's time to hear what God is saying.

This has been in my spirit clearly since last Fall when a variation of it was first was posted on Creedible.

As a pastor, I know that one of the most difficult ministries for any church, large or small,  is to help a marriage in crisis. This is so because the church has to confidentially confront the major issues of the marriage, and at the same time still be a welcoming worship place for the whole family in their time of need.

Moreover, if folks are referred outside of the Christian faith, they may forget Jesus' healing role and that he wants to prevent the bruised reed from breaking.

That's where I could fit in.

I would offer a faithful approach rooted in the bible's plan for marriage, and rooted in Christian forgiveness. This faith counsel would also be practical, real world based, and protect the entire family's dignity and safety.
