God Alone Is Sovereign (first pub. 12.3.2009)

Psalm 76,3-4: "Salem became His abode; Zion, His den [when Christ peacefully came in the flesh]. There He broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield and the sword of war [by his resurrection]."

Isaiah 61,10: "I greatly rejoice in the Lord, My whole being exults in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of triumph, Wrapped me in a robe of victory..."

God alone will make the kingdoms of this world into His Zion kingdom. God alone is the one who clothes us in victory.

From "Wake Up-American Faithful" (Jan. 09): "We [Christians in the U.S.] are not the nascent stuff of any earthly economic-political empire, not the authors of any new world order, but merely faithful exiles awaiting the kingdom of God."

Do we trust more in our nation and her sword for peace and security than Christ and His sword of the Spirit?

Matthew 25,1-4: "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps."
